It’s tough to “sail on” when your sail’s off
This ship was not from New Orleans as originally reported. The ship was called
the Windoc, enroute from Thunder Bay to Montreal. This accident happened
in the Welland Canal (between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario) on the night of
August 11, 2001. The Allenburg Bridge operator was impaired. No one was
badly hurt. Two crew members reported minor injuries.
