"We have been dealing with the impact of the Corona Virus now for over a month. It is very easy to begin to wonder if we are ever going to get past it. We are ready for a breakthrough, to see it done with and our lives return to a sense of normalcy. Did you know that our God is known as the God of the Breakthrough? In 1 Chronicles 14 we have the story of King David going to war against the Philistines. David prayed and asked God if he should fight the battle.

1 Chronicles 14:10-11 (NLT)
10 So David asked God, “Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord replied, “Yes, go ahead. I will hand them over to you.”
11 So David and his troops went up to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “God did it!” David exclaimed. “He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood!”

So they named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).
The Lord who bursts through!!! Our hope is not built upon wishes and maybe’s, it is built on the power and promises of our God who is the God of the breakthrough, and that breakthrough is on its way. God has His hand on us and when we put our trust and faith in Him, He will burst through for us.
