Famous hairstyles of male solo artists of the '80s
After leaving the Commodores, Lionel Richie became one of the most successful male solo artists of the '80s, eclipsed during his 1981-1987 heyday only by Michael Jackson and Prince.
The long playing (nicknamed 'LP', a 33 1⁄3 rpm microgroove) record is a vinyl record format, an analog sound storage medium. Introduced by Columbia in 1948, it was soon adopted as a new standard by the entire record industry. Apart from minor refinements and the addition of stereophonic sound, it has remained the standard format for vinyl albums.
